The pixels have landed.

Any of them XL?
if yes, can you do a size comparison please.
I am still on the fence about which one to get.

They are all XL. Coming from a Nexus 5 it feels rather big and slippy.

I am on a nexus 5 too and looking to upgrade...just not sure which.
Can you post some pics next to the nexus 5?
When you first felt the XL in hand, did you feel you should have got the normal pixel instead?

Yes but getting used to it quickly. A Lot of charm lof the Nexus 5 was that its so cheap you didn't really need to baby it. Just so happens it was a flagship at the same time.
Think i'm getting used to the bigger phone quickly. Unfortunately a non negotiable if you want the bigger battery. Ill know in a week if it was a mistake or not.

Much appreciated and hope to hear your initial thoughts soon.

So anything else to worry about apart from LTE that will not work on Telkom's network when buying the US version from Zeek?

US pins on the power adaptor.
Thats abit it. Im my previous experiences with Nexus phones, the US variants get updates slightly faster then the end EU ones, but nothing to bother about.

That was an sms from Cellucity

They are telling lies about "global demand", I've just checked the Google Store, CarPhoneWarehouse and EE (the 3 big retail outlets selling the Pixel in the UK) and all 3 have stock of both the Pixel and Pixel XL to buy.

Are they not talking about the available supply from Google to retailers? It seems as if all units have been assigned to respective retailers and those who don't have stock now will get a limited supply in Dec.

Just a thought.

Just saying there is no global shortage, they're making that part up...

Checked the USA as well, both 5" and XL currently available there as well...

They say Global Demand + Shortage, in other words due to the number of retailers taking the phone globally + a Shortage in the number of units made, they will get stock later. Many OEMs do this.

They are not lying about anything, they are giving as thorough of an explanation as to why they will get stock later. Their explanation is broken down well, but I can see how it may confuse others. :)

And Orange still doesn't have phone....

Mailed them a few weeks ago, they said they will have it sometime in December when stock is available.

Anybody waiting for the Orange store to stock these phones should know they have closed up shop in SA (received an email from them last night). Best bet now is Zeek or Cellucity
