Why not Google Keep then? It's a chrome app:
And can be opened as its own Window:

They promised integration with Google Assistant back in Google I/O 2018, not sure what happened there, Google being Google again.

For simple text lists with text formatting, reminder scheduling, archiving, collaborator, and image upload, plus option to open/send to Google Docs makes it really useful for when quick notes change to essays.

There's also this drawing feature, seems stupid:

(Apologies for the bad handwriting, was using a mouse).

Plus the OCR grab from text is perfectly fine:

Don't see the need to move to a different set of software when you can use Google's existing stuff for 99% of tasks.

And all of it is integrated at calendar.google.com:

And tasks is also there, though I don't use it as I have Jira for any work related stuff, and personal stuff gets reminder set by Google assistant (as can be seen on the calendar)

Damn. Didn't know this existed! I am impressed! Thanks!

7+ Taskbar Tweaker, it's probably been mentioned already, but I just love being able to adjust the volume by scrolling over the taskbar or being able to mute it and making some other smaller tweaks to the taskbar itself.

I love good software and services.

Telegram for desktop
WinRAR
Start10
7+ Taskbar Tweaker
Evernote Premium
Microsoft To Do
Office 365
Almost every app in Adobe CC
Affinity Photo, Designer & Publisher
AVG TuneUp
FileZilla
Blisk
Local by Flywheel
Other stuff I'm not thinking of right now.

Web-based stuff:
Basecamp
Google Earth
Pocket Casts
Bitwarden
CSS Scan

Software I hate with a burning passion:
Slack
Teams

Please god can people stop using the godawful Slack for work productivity and sending guest invites to join your cluttered nonsense where almost nothing meaningful gets done and everyone just jabbers on all day instead of working. MS Teams is only slightly better, but the technical issues make it at least as infuriating.

If you want to actually organise your workplace, use Basecamp.

Open Office sucks and has for years. Libre Office is the free office suite of choice.

Affinity Photo is a far superior alternative to Photoshop than GIMP. Hell, I actually rate it above Photoshop. I wouldn't use Photoshop if it wasn't so good at resizing and due to needing compatibility with the entire creative world.

Affinity Designer and Publisher are exceptional too. No subscription needed - just reasonable once-off prices. Wait for Black Friday coming soon.
