Please god can people stop using the godawful Slack for work productivity and sending guest invites to join your cluttered nonsense where almost nothing meaningful gets done and everyone just jabbers on all day instead of working. MS Teams is only slightly better, but the technical issues make it at least as infuriating.

If you want to actually organise your workplace, use Basecamp.

Open Office sucks and has for years. Libre Office is the free office suite of choice.

Affinity Photo is a far superior alternative to Photoshop than GIMP. Hell, I actually rate it above Photoshop. I wouldn't use Photoshop if it wasn't so good at resizing and due to needing compatibility with the entire creative world.

Affinity Designer and Publisher are exceptional too. No subscription needed - just reasonable once-off prices. Wait for Black Friday coming soon.
