Use e.g. netlimiter and check what is running in the background.
No need for netlimiter, use resource monitor, it comes with windows.

dont know why u guys talk about 13h
mine took around 5h total (7disks and 5gb update)
GTA is one of them cost a ton but its worth it![]()
Really liking the offline game. Just completed the final heist.
Running a measly 25fps medium settings.
I tried some online, but the desync in the open world was crazy.
I did a driving race, desync was again terrible.
Then I did team vs team mission and it was fine, I even ended up being the last man standing.
Tried to join a heist but was asked to leave, I guess the only way to do those is with buddies (aka a crew).
Then later tried to connect but just kept getting timeout issues...
intel i7 870 @2.9Hz
8Gb RAM
GTX460 SOC 1Gb
Graphics card
EDIT: Swap your graphics card for a better one and your fps should increase drastically.
Ye its old.

even my 970 dont get full 60fps on 1080p not everying maxedsome of the advanced is turned down and msaa at x2
50-60
rest is vhigh/ultra
i want full 60all the time!!!
Would be interesting to see your settings as I have vsync enable and it does not dip on a gtx 960. Without vsync I'm in the 70's somewhere. I'll record and post all my settings here tomorrow night if I remember. Edit: I definitely have msaa off and textures is one below max due to memory.
The games graphics are not like wow though, nothing like fc4, crysis3 etc, actually looks a bit plain & washed out.
Don't use gforce experience to optimise your settings as 9/10 it gets it wrong.

Play around with that guide, dunno about you but fxaa looks better than 2x msaa with less gpu tax, dsr is another option. I spent about a day with their fc4 guide where I enabled this, disabled that and a lot of things you barely notice the difference while stationary & when in motion you willl not notice it at all. You can achieve some stunning gfx without taking a performance knock compared to when you just max everything out completely.
i havent played the story on pc,
