GTA 5 PC

This game brings out the ADHD in me. Have not progressed beyond the first mission or two... there is always something else I tend to discover on my way to doing the next mission that I would rather do/see/explore/experience/blow up/kill/steal... :( :o :D :twisted:

I heard that Rockstar patched the ability to snipe people in tanks. If true that sucks so much. It took extraordinary skill to be able to do it. Sniping people out of a speeding car was also a great skill that took a long time to develop, and Rockstar patched the game to reduce the draw distance of players when looking through a scope just before I sold my PS3.

The number of times I was accused of cheating...
 
Anyone playing on Low settings at 1080p?

My PC is a bit dated atm... Don't want to detract from the experience too much though.

So yeah worth it, or just wait a bit for the price to fall:D

I'm also using an HD7850, runs just fine. Got almost everything on high to very high.
 
Completed the story mode this weekend. Lots of fun. All the detail they put in just makes the game for me.

It's kind of like "surely I won't be able to do this....yip I can, awesome."

Trying out some online at the moment.

Question. When I log in and have voice chat enable I seem to hear random people speaking. That without me being in a team or on a job. Is there a way to turn this off without totally disabling voice chat?
 
In the options menu, I think you scroll down to multiplayer and can turn off both the mic and voice in the same window.

Anyway, just check in your options menu, it's somewhere in there. Don't think it's in Audio.
 
Haven't been very impressed with GTA Online so far, tbh. I'd be playing in a private session with friends and when I try to start a job it puts me into a job with completely different people on another session. :confused:

The interface generally also isn't very user friendly.

We always have similar issues, start a private crew session, do a job and when done everyone is in a different public session hosted by some random.

Online is really buggy at the moment and the patches don't seem to be making a difference.
 
Online will be ironed out soon enough, there are so many people trying to play at the moment.

I haven't even attempted online as I want to get the story done first.

These make me feel a lot better about my own experience.
I do get some sync issues where cars appear to be skating on the road/jerking around, but beyond that, I've had a lot of enjoyment and laughs.

OD, I'm not sure what is going wrong with the job setup for you and your friends. Me and mine do jobs each evening. The one who creates the job sets the invites to "Closed", the invite friends/crew. That process shouldn't be more than 20s incase I made it sound difficult/cumbersome :D

My irks are being put on Eastern European servers (my Russian shes not good) and Friends not always ending up all together when returning to Freemode from a mission.

Yeah, I dunno. Will have to try again at some point. Just the overall experience hasn't been super enjoyable. The jobs constantly popping up on the left hand side is also quite annoying. It's like stfu, let me play. Once you get going with a race or job it's quite fun, though.

Why don't you use private sessions so you're all together?

I've really started considering that based on number of griefers in a session, but to my own surprise, found I enjoyed collecting bounties players placed on other players. In what would be a fairly limited gamesize with my friends, that "randomness" would be lost.

I really hope those experiencing issues have them resolved soon.... and that at some point Rockstar decide to move friends together and hopefully to the "lowest latency" server. So much fun seems to await.
 
Out of interest, is anyone interested in joining a bunch of 3 (2 others and I) to complete a heist squad?
The intention is to do the heists in order to get the bonus.... not in one night obviously :D

When that is done, we'd like to try moving on to the elite challenge one for the 10m bonus :)
