I tried sending fxit_man a private message but his inbox is apparently full, so I am going to post my query here maybe someone else perhaps knows how to fix this?

I tried to hacktivate my friends iphone 3GS (firmware 2,1_4.3.5) I used greenpoison to hacktivate it without a sim card but it didn't support the 3GS iphone and now its constantly in recovery mode :(

The iphone is also constantly restarting if i try to shut it down while plugged in. I did manage to get it into DFU mode by timing it exactly so that it doesn't restart. I used the redsn0w recovery fix functionality but its throwing the mount read error while jailbreaking it. It could be because greenpois0n is still trying to install itself, is there perhaps a way to uninstall greenpois0n?

I also tried restoring the firmware via iTunes but its giving an error 3149(not sure of the exact error now but it starts with a 3). I edited the hosts.ics file in System32 to not point to Apple's servers and rather Cydia as well but that didn't stop the error from occurring.

I am wondering if anyone perhaps knows of something i could try? Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks.
