Half Life 2 Orange Box

Pretty good.
I have it on the xbox.
Controls were a bit hard getting used to, but very enjoyable.
 
Is a great game and you would really enjoy it can't wait for episode 3 to be released
 
For me it was very dissapointing, It was great back when the first HL2 came out, but now the game seams a bit outdated. A major overhaul is needed to grab new gamers to the episodic version of the game.

Yeah it has a whole lot of other stuff on it, but even then, just rather give me one good game.
 
Love it, own it on PC and Xbox, PC mostly for the SDK which is awsome. Can't wait for Ep 3 or Black Mesa which hits later this year. (Black Mesa that is.)
 
Who cares about HL2? Fine it's nice, but I got my copy of Orange Box (@ R150!) mainly to get my hands on Portal. The other games included were bonus material as far as I am concerned. TF2 ain't that bad either, but Portal took the cake with its Dark humor and all. :D

Looking for the Orange Box for PC. ld13, where did you get it for R150??
 
You can buy it on Steam when they have weekend specials for around $15.

I thought it was a great deal, mainly for tf2 and portal. The HL2 episodes themselves are getting a little stale - fun to play through once but forgettable.

Orange Box = TF2. Great game. I just dusted off TF2 this weekend after quitting Warhammer and it was super fun to jump back in. Even saw Icyrus online :p

Last year sometime Pick 'n Pay Hyper had them on special. If I had more $$$ with me I would've gotten a few more! It was an absolute steal at that price.

I've also seen it on special on Steam with some of their weekend deals. In fact you just missed a big one. http://store.steampowered.com/sub/469/ They were going for $9.99 last weekend. :(

I got some caek. Didn't you get some caek? The caek was nice. Did you incinerate the poor companion cube? Must be why they did not wanna give you some caek. :cool:

Yep, but there are so many updates to hl2, tf2 and portal it's best to try get the files from a friend anyway.

Its really sad when people only play games for graphics, they should be forced to play the Monkey Island games so they can see how brilliant a game can be even if it has "Bad" graphics" and Btw Half Life 2 was still better than The "amazing" Farcry graphics when farcry came out and the reason they don't overhaul the engine, just update it, is because they don't want the fans to wait another 8 years for episode 3 quality isn't only graphics, people who think like that are superficial gamers

I agree totally. A truly great game stays great regardless of its age. Deus Ex is still one of my all time fav's and it came out when i went to high school.( considering im pushing 24 thats along time ago.) FarCry 2 might have pretty graphics but in a few years it will be gone and forgotten while HL2 and its episodes are still enjoyed. The same for Crysis, beautiful game but the game play was nothing spectacular. The looks of a game is but a small portion fo the completed experience. Id rather play an "ugly" game like Grim Fandango which delvers a brilliant gameplay experience than a pretty game which boast nothing other than the latest looks.

Its like a supermodel, all looks and no substance.
