Did you know, when you're in a pinch, you can use a screwdriver as a braai fork. Although this one at Makro for R129, probably won't work that well:

Also, when I go to a bring and braai, I carry my meat and my Brandy & Coke in this nice laptop backpack, at only R79:

I already have a screwdriver set and a laptop bag, but I sure can do with another one of each!It is!

5? I thought the rule was 3s and it's ready for braaiing. I actually found that if you can do one whole second, it's slightly too late.
Make fire, when the flames die, drop the grill and braai the steaks. You will see the steak turn dark brown with bubbling fat on the surface as it renders. Then when they are very rare, but have a nice crust on both sides, you take them off and put them in the container to stay warm. There they will rest and even cook further while you raise the grill again and braai the rest of the meat.
When you eat, the steak will probably a good even medium. If you want rare, remove it sooner.
This is the look you're going for:

Go discuss national braai day in the thread dedicated to braai...Like I said:
"There’s no hard and fast rule, and the best way to get a feel for this is just to braai more often"
I'm sure everyone has their own preference but if you google it the general consensus is around 5s
Makes a nice change from the screwdriver and bag discussion?and also proudly SA, almost in time for national braai day on 24 sept.

I use my 27" 4K at 100% as a secondary monitor, and at wrist-distance away from me I manage well. My primary is a 31.5" 1440p monitor that I use for gaming. No issues using it like that.
I did a quick test for you scaling the 4K display up to 150%, and visual studio, GoG Galaxy and Chrome all display nice and sharp, as expected.
The only "issue" is the "resize jump" when you drag a window over from one monitor to another. I think it is about at the halfway mark where it will change size, and you end up with a 150% scaled window half in your 100% scaled screen. It's a non issue really.
Playstations have AMD graphics under the hood IIRC, so they should be able to use Freesync? Would be interesting to hear your experiences once you get there...So my monitor came in yesterday, have to say I'm blown away with the clarity and extra screen real estate of 4KI did notice the wobble issue mentioned in this thread, but it doesn't bother too much. I'll be using it with a PS5 later down the road so the weird FreeSync issue should hopefully not be problem. I'm sure there are better monitors out there but for someone who came from something ancient I'm happy with my purchase

I can't find much on this display (other than it apparently being a generic display with Panasonic branding), but the price seems pretty reasonable for a 65" 4k display

Nice how much is a comparable 4k 55" TV?Looks pretty cheap they based in cpt.![]()
The reason for that is that the build quality is generally much better - the components used are of a much higher standard.Nice how much is a comparable 4k 55" TV?
Those business displays are normally hellishly over priced at their normal rate for some reason.
