Comments like this crack me up. Stuff like this happens all the time. No one's going to get fired because they don't have to honour any of these orders. They just need to work on improving their processes and adding some monitoring.

Although it reflects really badly on Makro. Sure, mistakes happen and employees should be extended some grace. However, if this had happened before or the employee was already on the bad books sacking them wouldn't necessarily be out of the question. And then that's not even considering the possibility of deliberate sabotage

Last year Makro had First shop contact me... Blah blah... Nothing.

Now that we have placed the order what do u think is going to happen ? Will they send it ? cancel it ? Anyone has any prior experiences?

They are still processing orders

The amps have been pulled now, Soundbars still available

Makro will send u an email the day before expected delivery saying they cant cos out of stock. They will offer a refund

Usually on such big companies it's not just about one employee that uploads the cost and details on the website, but there are also managers that validate the data before it's uploaded. Therefore there is more than one person to be blamed for the error.

Manager is busy or wants to go home early, so just asks the employee "have u double checked it ? " Employee says "yes" and he clicks the approve button.
