(9) If a price as displayed contains an inadvertent and obvious error, the supplier is not bound by it after— (a) correcting the error in the displayed price; and (b) taking reasonable steps in the circumstances to inform consumers to whom the erroneous price may have been displayed of the error and the correct price.

It was an "online exclusive" so there was nothing "obvious error about" it. The price was also displayed for 2 days after accepting many many order so they have cant claim that unfortunately...

Massmart should fund the loss, not the little guy

Online exclusive in Makros case just means it's not available in store.

And we don't really know who's mistake it is. Why should massmart fund the loss?
 
"online exclusive" in my eyes means that the product is only available online - hence the price...

Massmart should fund because I bought from them...
 
If it was a mistake they should tell us immediately, its been over 24 hours!!!

Actually called them yesterday and they said the supplier already shipped it as they are apparently in JHB?
Will post a photo when I get it as well, just so that I can believe it myself ;)

Plot twist - they send me some budget speaker worth R399 xD

I just called them (same speaker) and they told me it's still in process....
 
everything sold by Connoisseur Electronics has been removed
 
Phoned Call Centre and they said this was a limited special and delivery should be coming Friday/Monday

I don't know what's gonna happen, lets see
 
so far it looks positive then, please post here if you do get a delivery today so the rest of us can at least breath easy :D oh and pics are always appreciated.

Or maybe the economy is so bad they actually don't even have stock to quote you on but service is a real issue.
