When I placed the order it was for the supplier quoted as MikroTik and the price at R20 below the third-party (i.e. Elite) pricing.

One wonders if MikroTik tried to match the pricing of a parallel (grey) import or similar (e.g. a local supplier closing down), then decided WTF and withdrew their pricing. ?
Gave TAL a call yesterday to check if the delay on my delivery was as a result of the MikroTik. According to TAL support it was due to another item on the order, so I should be getting my MikroTik within the week. :thumbsup:

@chickenbeef @rrh @PhireSide @Silver-0-surfer @Barbarian Conan @ld13 @K3NS31 @Gtx Gaming and whoever else I think bought one of these.

Looks like these MikroTik routers fell of the back of a Vox truck as they're pre-configured to talk out to 41.193.20.41 which is Vox's Mikrotik provisioning service.

Could also be that Vox didn't pay their account, so the supplier (of the pre-configured devices) decided to cut their losses ... :)

Surely it's unlikely - though I would be the first to agree, not impossible - it's unlikely that somebody would sell stolen items via TAL ?

Maybe the ANC are worried about their SARS tax bill ?:ROFL:

Also likely that a large customer switched to vox but chose to use their own routers.

Or Vox reclaimed items from users who didnt want to pay them?

Or stock they never issued?

Old? I know they demand their equipment back from customers at end of contract.

Any case going off topic

Wonder if you can reflash it?

I just factory reset mine, and updated to the newest stable version of router OS, both are working fine - I did notice a Vox pppoe username first time I logged in before the reset. :unsure:

Wasn't there a thing about Vox being awarded government tenders a couple of years back? :rolleyes:
