I'm looking to gradually replace my 4th gen i5, and GTX760, purposes for machine will be the very odd bit of gaming, will dedicate the old hardware to a simulator.

Is the Ryzen 7 series overkill? Or is the 5 series sufficient for average lifting? I've been out of the hardware scene for a while now
I've had a 5600X since January last year. Replaced the 3rd gen i7. It works great.

Seems like the our good mates at the Devils HQ have what looks like a solid deal on an 512GB NVMe SSD:
R799.00 Hikvision E3000 512GB M.2 PCI-e Gen 3 x 4 NVMe 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) / Maximum Read Speed 3476 MB/s / Maximum Write Speed 3137 MB/s / HS-SSD-E3000/512G

Would you get free shipping with that ssd at R799 and if not how much would it be?
Also is there anyway to sort their products by price, seems those sneaky cnts don't offer that new technology on their website?

Thanks, unfortunately that's the E2000, Amazon only has one single review for the E3000, I'm assuming at that clearance price it's because they are dubious.
You didn't specify the model of SSD, my impression was that you wanted to know if Hikvision was a reliable/reputable brand for SSDs in general,.

That's why I posted the link to some critical reviews of a Hikvision SSD (there aren't that many critical reviews, but there is one that has a CrystalDiskMark screenshot "SLOW write speed Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 22, 2022").

If there was anything seriously wrong with Hikvision SSDs, there should be more complaints beyond slow write speeds, that said I would compare pricing with brands that are better known for SSDs (as opposed to CCTV cameras) and decide if it's worth taking the risk on a Hikvision SSD.

Smart things hub plus accessories for
R1898:

1 × Smart-Home Hub
1 × Smart Camera
1 × Multipurpose Sensor
1 × Siren

Check this out on takealot: SmartThings Safety Starter Kit by Vodacom

Sounds like a bargain although catch is "Requires purchase and activation of V-Home Service Plan subscription, 24 month agreement with Vodacom @R49 per month"

So add R1176

Standard Evetech warning, no aftersales/warranty guaranteed and only for those willing to to roll the dice.
Buy at your own risk and if something goes wrong they may decide not to honor the warranty or deduct a % of your refund, with that in mind I present the below deal.

LG UltraGear 32GN600 32" QHD 2560 x 1440 Gaming Monitor @ R5999
Def godo deal still using mine which paid 6500 for, and mine older 144hz version.

Deals like this are always so tempting. Would love to ditch my 24" 1080p 240hz and 27" 144hz 1440p for something like this... Really the best of both worlds, but it's Evetech :/
