Have you checked out CSE? They are a local Custom Keyboard store. Always a good idea to pay a bit more for good quality compared to the gaming brands which are overpriced and just terrible in comparison.

Looking at replacing my trusty old Samsung 1680 x 1050 (60Hz) monitor this month. Budget is tight so I don't want to go higher than R5k. To be used for work, so don't need fast response time or 144Hz refresh or touch screen. Staying around 24 inches size, decent specs at that price point seem to be 1920 x 1080 and 75Hz. I'll be using it in a room that gets quite bright, so high contrast and non-reflective screen is essential. I have a miniport on my laptop and I'm tired of using a display adapter, so that is also a requirement.

Am I in the right ballpark for the specs I can get for my budget? I can stretch a bit further if I have to because I keep my monitors for a long time.

I can find this and this on Wootware. Not on special. I'm not sure how bright 250cd/m2 is for a relatively bright room.

Hoping to get a really decent monitor without breaking the bank!

Why are you replacing it if it is your trusty old friend? If it's still working well and the budget is tight, why not keep it?

I have a 24 inch HP monitor, one of the first Z series, that is still working great for general computing. No need or wish to replace it until it's really necessary...
