So they remain in constant phone communication with you regarding what is happening with stock, and then unfortunately because the drive is end of life, they are now unprofessional..?
No, they sold me something that showed as "In stock" on their website at a price massively lower than any of their competitors. Then wanted to tell me that it was a stock level error. Delayed me for two months whilst sourcing stick that other suppliers got for me within a week and then got lucky with EOL notification to "justify" their bad business practices.

But give us feedback after you've purchased from them.

What drive is it?

Seagate 2TB Firecuda 530 SSD with Heatsink; M.2s PCIe - ZP2000GM3A023

You'll may recall that I bought a similar drive from you, but was not the Heatsink version. Do you mind checking if that one had any EOL notifications or heat issues?

It was an opportunistic/unnecessary purchase, so if the drive is EOL or they simply made a pricing mistake, then I have no issue. But according to Wootware the exact model is available, I guess it is possible that they have different suppliers though.

Wait, who did you order from?

I honestly don't know who you are :p

But no, neither are EOL due to heat issues.

2 available with more at another warehouse (outside of Gauteng)

3 available with more at another warehouse (outside of Gauteng)

I keep a good number of old stock files, I went a fair way back and the supplier they're using hasn't had stock during that time. They ARE expecting stock in the near future, at a far higher price. It's definitely not EOL with them.

Oh, I also found 20+ units available right now at various other distis.

My assumption would have been that they should have listed the item out of stock, when either you or I ordered, thus the second person should not have been able to order when they found they had stock issues.

Was your order placed at R1,877?

Yes, it was R1877. They could simply have said that the price was an error, and I would have been happy, but I don't appreciate BS excuses.

If only you could check out with one, good old unicorn “deals” on Hificorp.
How do you find out which areas they will ship to?
