Interesting....the feedback I got is that the "storage is correct".
I guess they didn't actually say "product includes a hard drive".

I want to get a SSD at some point in the next couple months. Anything decent to go for these days?

I've been out of the loop and haven't followed PC hardware progression for several years. The last time I changed anything in my PC was when I bought a GTX 970 4 years ago which is still fine for gaming. Just need a SSD as some games have lots of load screens which takes ages to load (Path of Exile specifically)

The leaflet on the link at Raru indicates the HDDs are not included, so max capacity is 8TB...
Interested to see how this turns out.

It's Chinese English.. Storage drives installed probably means internal drives and total installed storage probably refers to the maximum amount of storage supported..

Edit: actually, I think total installed storage of 8 GB refers to internal storage where the OS is installed..

As you can see in the last few pages of the thread SSD prices have dropped by around half in the last 6 months so now is the perfect time to buy.
Your motherboard is probably too old to handle a m,2 / nvme ssd so just go with a sata ssd. You can go smaller but I would not go under 500GB really as it is good value for money. This seagate comes to mind....

Or you can wait a little longer and perhaps they'll fall even more.

One could only hope. Wouldn't mind a 1tb for R1K

With tech you can always wait longer and prices will drop. You have to make a decision at some time though especially if you need something as a necessity and not a luxury. That said some price drops does not happen gradually but more like "suddenly" like ssd prices over the last few months. Usually after such "sudden" drops the price "evens" out more or less which is what I think has happened with ssd pricing. I could be wrong though.

I cannot see us paying 1K for a 1TB SSD in the short term, so like the OP mentions he wants to buy "in the next couple of months" - I don't see major price changes.

Yeah I'm in no rush to buy. Can wait for a bargain if there is one, hence why I posted here.

Until a factory burns down. Like what happened years ago with RAM  or was that flooding.
