Once I have built up enough money ... we're talking at least 30 - 40k cash in bank ... I will try hire a developer to recreate my online store for me that runs off Ajax and has all the backend stuff I want and need to give the best service. For now ... my current site will have to do ... but the more support I get (Which is growing, slowly but surely), the faster I get this done. I just wish the margins weren't so low ... its hard to save ... but I bet you guys aren't complaining ;) ... I want to maybe speak to the big online boys about all of us getting to get together to pressure suppliers into allowing us to tap into their stock control systems so we have real time stock data ... will make everyones lives a pleasure.

The beginning is always not easy, and especially as a self employed entrepreneur.

At least you already have a presence on these forums - that can't hurt ;)

Very true :) ... now when people ask me "How do we know you are legit" or similar questions, I refer them to the MyADSL FAQ :p

Great :)

I actually wish more people would read it before posting a new thread

But you're definitely on my list of "Preferred Suppliers" because you actually take the time to have a presence on MyBroadband (unlike some online vendors) ;)

It's true. Most of the info is in there already. I guess sometimes people have something specific they want answering like "Rate my new Rig" or something like that...so I guess that's ok :)

Seagate 1TB drives seem to have taken a nice drop in price, was looking last week around the place and prices were like R2700.
Seeing this week for R500-R700 cheaper
EG - Prophecy R2270 /Comx R2070
Seagate® Barracuda™ 7200.11 Series - 1TB Serial ATA II (SATA2) Plus - Serial ATA 300 (3Gbps) With 32MB Cache @ 7200RPM - NCQ

What does the NCQ mean?

I saw some comments from Western Digital ppl about how unreliable the 1TB7200.11 is, so just be warned.

Unusual for Seagate....been good to me so far, will check....Thanks

I thought i seen a 0.34% something failure rating somewhere
Guess we got to be a little skeptical with that coming from WD

Wouldn;t your prefer the cheaper and safer option of 2 x 500GB just to be sure?

I got the info off some Chinese Hardware forum, according to one of the Western Digital representative there, the 7200.11 series using 500G platter (eg 1TB model) has some quality problem with its Thailand factory, normally it's ok to have 200 bad hard drives per million and the above mentioned model has 4000 per million. And this is the same reason that Seagate is delaying it's 640G HD releases while WD has been releasing 640G HD overseas.
