These guys are bunch of criminals!

Two examples:

1. "New Lifetime Torch. Never Needs Batteries!" [...] "The Lifetime Torch(R) works on.... and needs no battery for power" [...] "This builds up energy in the capacitor." These are citations from original package.
I bought dual pack R100 and I can say these are lies. There is no capacitor, but a small NiMH battery, too small for the purpose and after week of use it gathers memory and becames unusable. Do not keep power for more than one minute. If I remove it from casing, fully discharge and recharge, it gives me another week on usage.

2. Buzz-Zapper "AS SEEN ON TV" [...] "Makes use of UV Attraction"
All I can say, there is no UV (check your banknotes, you won't see a difference). There are blue LED lights, thats all. During few years of deploying in mosquito dense area, no single sucker was attracted by these lights!
Now I understand why the shop attendant didn't allow me to pickup a box form the front display "These are for swapping" I was told. They knew which boxes had perhaps real UV LEDs and which hadn't!

Noted and will remove their link now. I never knew O_O. Thanks for providing feedback.

@hereticangel, any response on those 2TB drives coming back in stock?? I got a call last week that as soon as they come into stock they will let me know but alas , nothing has happened so i sent them a few emails :D. Going to call the Ballito branch now and see what i can do. Do you have a scan of the letter we need to get them to give us the drives at R999.00? TiA :)

/for anyone now following, its the HP 2TB USB 3.0/2.0 External drive at Game stores. They told us that new stock arriving will be sold at the R999 special price :).

Edit: Also one can get a document from them to honor the price (herecticangel's post above) so waiting for a response :p

Edit2: Got a response from Game (Rina) and she says as per my previous email (call) it is still open and they are awaiting stock. A great deal is nearly upon us folks, watch this space (subscribe to this thread > instant email notification) to stay in touch :D.

If there isn't stock, let the store manager give you a voucher, then you can get them at the advertised price whenever stock does come in...

Tried my best to find the specs:
  • Host interface: USB 3.0
  • Maximum External Data Transfer Rate: 640 MBps (5 Gbps)

I would buy it in a heart beat... if I hadn't bought my WD from Makro a month ago.

Can someone post the specs of the HDD used in the HP external?

And if they had stock. Which they don't.

Am gonna check in DBN but will be sending an email and update here, me and hereticangel have been trying to find out for over a week now "sigh".

Will confirm what drive is inside too once i get my hands on them :D.

Thanks for the tip off :).
