Bought a TF300TG from FirstShop for R3118 this morning (before I saw the ODO special), so IMO their price is not good/great if its a demo version...

Yep. Includes all applicable fees and VAT. Had to pay in R0.00 extra on my last delivery.
That's a great price, but don't pull the trigger. I hated mine and eventually managed to sell it to my dad. They are terribly slow and the screen resolution is now archaic compared to the latest smartphones. Even my dad who is techno ignorant moans about the lag and sluggishness in completing app changes and opening email attachments.
Spend more and get a Nexus.
Negative. He was on his way to buy the exact same model from a walk in store. He wanted something to replace carting his laptop when he travels. I explained why I was flogging it and he played with it first. It suits his needs but my point above was even he notices it is sluggish.
