WD Green 2TB internal HDD from Esquire going for R779 excl. VAT.

Anyone know what the catch might be? Seems like a really good deal.

Seems only Midrand branch has stock.

The Green drives have lower RPM's than the standard/performance drives 5400RPM vs 7200RPM.
So slower but quieter and lower power usage. Good for storage but not something that you want to have your operating system or games that have long loading zones, for instance.

What do you guys think of this? Last day of the online demo sale, 26 left:

edit: Good newegg reviews: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001807CVF

As always when we advertise a bargain everyone doesn't hesitate to click buy. Don't forget all demos sold from Incredible connection come with warranty. Bought a notebook from them and the back light gave up with a dead pixel. No problem they repaired the network free of charge.

It has an issue with the drive powering off to conserve power which doesn't bode well with raid setups.

Only wifi
I need something with 3G for that price R999

Don't know if you found something... but here's a (very slow and basic) option:

Absolutely no catch on this price , we purchased a 1500 units to get a deal and passing this saving to you, we had clients asking for 50 and 100 units at a time but had to limit it to max 5 per customer so that everyone get a fair chance to benefit from this deal.

Regional branches should get stocks on Monday and Tuesday as the long weekend hampered deliveries to branches

You can place your order with a member of the sales team in your region and will be guaranteed to get it at that price

Just remember it R 779.excl vat R888.06 including vat.

Okay. I'm being very indecisive. I'm wanting to buy a new monitor - however cannot choose between the Dell S2340L and the Dell S2440L. They are only R300 apart, however the S2340L features a 23" IPS Display, whilst the S2440L features a 24" VA panel.

Does anybody have one of the two who could recommend it - or does anybody know of something better in the R2500 price range?

Thanks!
Z :)

EDIT: I've just noticed that they are glossy panels. Never owned glossy before... how badly do they reflect the surroundings?

EDIT2: Another option - Dell P2314H

Most likely both are VA type. According to this thread, for IPS monitor go with P2314H. I asked the same question and 'S' models were not considered.

Yea - scored a Dell S2440L from Dionwired for R2399. I've had it only for today, and will be returning it tomorrow haha. I just cant stand looking at myself for the entire day. The thing is like a mirror - it's crazy.

Back to the hunt...

I also had a Dell mirror for a day or two... I think the 23" version of that one.

Tbh I still haven't found anything to replace my T260. Requirements would be non glossy, 16:10 and a higher res than the T260 and the only monitors that fit that bill are dell and hp 30"s with insane prices. I haven't tried any 1440p monitors yet though, maybe I can live with 16:9 since the vertical res will be more than 1080.
