Hardware Bargains

Go with Lenovo or HP. Bought an entry-level Dell laptop and it's broke down twice and Incredible Connection and Dell refuses to refund outside of 180 days.

Lol - had the problem with LEnovo then got a Dell.

Looks like a nice bargain, anyone have one of those, wondering what the quality is like

I bought one for my GF a while ago.

Went home. Plugged it into network and let Windows update do its thing. Got a BSOD. It turns out its harddrive was full already before I started installing ANYTHING. HDD not upgradable. I took it back the next day. Also Chrome + Youtube 720p was also a struggle.

Avoid unless you want to constantly struggle and tinker.

Thanks for the heads up, was tempted, but I'll pass.

@biometrics: Hehe, stick it to your dashboard for an in-car computer :) I've got plenty excuses to buy one, my iBad packed up after one year, 7" Droid is too sluggish and 8" Windows tab too small for real use. Used to lug my old Dell around but it's really heavy and the battery is near finished.

@Brawler Agreed, storage is quite limited but you can now use the SD card to install apps on.

I forgot to mention that my particular unit also had an issue with with reading SD cards :( I would click on it in "my computer" and it would freeze or say "insert SD card" half of the time.

That same SD card is working fine in a camera.

But yeah I know what you mean but still 32GB is just not enough for a Windows install when you factor in temp files, updates etc.

Nothing like hands-on experience, I suppose they have to compromise somewhere to sell it at that price
