I just cancelled my Makro order now. They told me it would take 3 days just for somebody to get back to me to tell me what's happening with my order.I usually get my Makro orders within a day or two.
Haha, sounds about right for Makro.I just cancelled my Makro order now. They told me it would take 3 days just for somebody to get back to me to tell me what's happening with my order.
I don't understand how a multi-billion rand company can be so useless at their primary function.
I'll just pay a bit extra and get the thing somewhere else.
I've now ordered the exact same item (at a slightly higher price) from Uniterm Direct which is about 6kms down the road from me. Took 3 minutes from placing the order online to when I received an email telling me I could collect. 3 minutes.Haha, sounds about right for Makro.
Took them almost a week to deliver 1 case of Peanut butter to me, that's after calling them multiple times.
Nevermind my horrific experience trying to return a chair that was broken out of the box, what a nightmare that was.
Completely stopped buying there after chair incident, ordering from Makro online just isn't worth the aggravation.
Im talking under correction here but if memory serves clothing comes with a 45% import tax.l ordered a toddler Dress for R128 and women's casual ribbed 3pcs set for R42 discount normal price was R497

The missus ordered some stuff again on 21/2 and I just had to pay the taxes now. She's also doing some trial and quality runs on some items and there's also some items that is not really necessary in the order.FFS. Second order with Temu placed this morning for more kak I don't need.

My parcel that I received yesterday also had an item where quality wasn't as described. I logged a return/refund and they refunded me and said I can keep the items. Wasn't something very expensive. The other items are of acceptable or good quality. My order was delivered yesterday. I placed the order on the 13th, payed tax on the 15th and it was delivered on the 22nd.
All in al Im quite happy with the quality, one item was a bit of a fail. In fairness they indicate the size of the itam clearly, I just didnt check. The packaging was not great, but it wasnt an issue.

I'm still baffled how they calculate the taxes. My 1st order was taxed at 15% and the other ones not at 15%l ordered a toddler Dress for R128 and women's casual ribbed 3pcs set for R42 discount normal price was R497

yeah I agree. My best guess is that different items gets taxed according to different rules. I.e. textiles vs. sporting goods, vs general.I'm still baffled how they calculate the taxes. My 1st order was taxed at 15% and the other ones not at 15%
But it is suppose to be at least 15% for VAT. Some of my orders were less than 15%, but I'm not complaining.yeah I agree. My best guess is that different items gets taxed according to different rules. I.e. textiles vs. sporting goods, vs general.
I also think there will be a different set of rules applied after your 3rd order (I think we get 3 imports a year, not 100% sure).
