True you didn't but somehow it felt implied.
Your car is awesome no doubt. More fun than the golf. And I've said this plenty times before on other forums. Thing is when I had a Bmw 1M at the time as my weekend toy and a polo gti as my everyday car. I replaced the polo gti with the golf r and ordered a Bmw m4 to replace the 1M (which I cancelled and bought another house instead... Also didn't think 1.2m was worth it for the m4 and I still don't think this worth it)... If I had budget constraints I would have bought a m235i as a weekend car and a polo as an everyday car...
Perfect example right now is a cousin of mines bought a mac 650s spider and he also has a s65 merc amg. Guess what his everyday car is.... A golf 7R. Ok maybe because I also praised the car it might have had some impact of his decision. But it honestly is just such a good car.
The golf is that functional "checking all the tick boxes" type of car. It's not special but is functionally perfect. And for me a special car is that car that really plays on ones emotions and senses and they generally are far from perfect. A perfect example of this is a Porsche gt3 rs. Its too loud, you can't go over a ordinary speed hump. Its gear changes are like go though concrete. It smokes up on start up... Its not the fastest out there. But God is it the finest car I've experienced... Don't know if this makes much sense
