Hi My BB,

I am looking for a cheap PC gamepad, saw the following on Kalahari:

Eurocase Wired Gamepad Parrot for about R103.

Anyone know if its any good or better deals available?
Never heard of the brand Eurocase before....

Thanks

I'm also looking for a new gamepad. But, my budget is more this time. Bought a cheapie a few years ago and one button is giving issues... Too much Fifa.. I'm actually waiting for the PS4 controllers to be released for PC. But for a budget, I'll suggest looking at what Esquire has to offer.

Just remember that all prices are excluding VAT.

This one looks pretty decent:

I meant for you, better than the PS3 controller IMO.
LOL! Oh. I was looking at getting the 360 controller this Christmas, but then the PS4 one got me excited, so I'll wait.

If you want a proper "PC" gamepad and prefer the PS3 layout to the XBOX's, why not get the Logitech F710? I got one recently (last week, actually) and I've been having a blast playing all the games that support it on my 47" TV in the lounge... It retails for around R499.

Thanks everyone.

Has anyone ever heard of EUROCASE? Is it reliable?

Dont go down that road dude.
Made the mistake of getting a Eurocase once.
So much tweaks you need to do and 3rd party emulation you need to configure to get it to work properly.
Recently got myself :

Looks a bit basic, but it was plug play and forget.
Assasins creed 4, arkham origins, deadpool, injustice gods among us, mortal kombat komplete edition...all working with no fuss whatsoever.
Controller is also quite solid and responsive (no vibration, but have never wanted a hand massage while gaming.)

+1

It's wireless and about R400 at BTGames.

Wireless isn't a good thing. I have the wired xbox controller and it's awesome for PC games. It's the default controller for steam any how and has built in drivers with windows. It's the one you want.

Care to elaborate?

No problems with my wireless xbox 360 controller (using it for about 4 years now)

Charging sucks unless you keep a spare battery.

Xbox 360 controller takes two AA's - I use rechargeables so always have a couple of charged spares :D

I just hate charging. At least with my PS3 I can just plug in the cable, with the 360 controller you need separate rechargeable batteries.

Never mind if you take your controller to a lan. Interference is such fun.

Xbox controller FTW. Wired or wireless. My son is wired but purely cause he kept losing batteries. I prefer wireless. Can jam as long as I need, and have a nice little 2 controller dock next to my console that charges the battery up again ready for my next session.
Wires are so yesterday!

I find a lot of steam games identify the controller correctly too and it actually feels like I am playing xbox (onscreen button hints, etc).
