ok hope you so passionate about the bad things that happen to people elsewhere in the country as well. Innocent people die everyday in formally disadvantaged area due to gang violence but where is the thread for that. The list can go on. You want to talk about "principles" I earn my salary trying to improve peoples livelihoods every single day. Don't be so quick to judge people. Unfortunately some lives were lost in Knysna but most is has been property. The loss of life there can not even remotely compare to what is going on here is Cape Town daily.

Yeah, yeah I get it. Because not enough is being done about other problems you can't be ar$ed to click on reply to help with this. You're not the first to make the argument in this thread. We're all cool now anyway, thanks.

Well, if they could be helped by simply typing a single character post in a thread on a forum you frequent, then why wouldn't you? Makes no sense not to.

Gift of the Givers is not a "save the whales" organisation. It's whales, penguins etc etc etc. You donate to them and they channel it where needed.

You need to donate to a charity for Knysna specifically if you want to only help Knysna fire victims.

I have a lot of respect for people that donate and do charity work without thinking about the publicity and what is in it for them.
