Help me decide please: Diamond vs iPhone

I don't know which one to get..... Just saw an HTC demo model now and I must say it looks awesome! Does anyone know where I can try them both out?

Also does anyone know the pay-in on an HTC Diamond on MyCall 100?

Not sure on the MyCall but I'm on ProCall 220 and I have to pay in R2k.

No brainer - Diamond. They should be the same price. And remember iphone is on Vodacom only.

I have read that the iPhone's display and multimedia capabilities are much better than the HTC... Is this true?

Iphone music is probably better, at the end of the day Diamond is still Windows Mobile. But on everything else Diamond is better - camera, office software, calendar, modem, Opera would kick Safari's butt any day of the week, etc. If your primary use for your smartphone is music then iphone might be the better choice, but also consider Sony Ericsson W960. I believe either MTN or Voda have it at R1200 pay-in on MyCall or Weekender, either way far cheaper than either. Music experience is great and a far better (and friendlier) interface than either (but somewhat outdated in some specs), although HTC's touch interface is better where it does replace MS mobile (which isn't everywhere).

Im not a WM fan but id rather take a Diamond in this situation like someone above said. . . .its a no brainer.

I think the main point it, after 2 years the phone is going to be out-dated anyway, cant get around that fact. So base it on, what you most want now. And get that one. (Obviously, if it is the iPhone you want, you cant get it now, You must wait for iVodacom to actually iRelease it.)

Clearly those with an opinion on the iPhone is not working with one. How in this world can you even start to compare the two? Sheeeesh you guys are so going to feel like donkeys once the iPhone is out here and you work with it. Like I have said so many times: The world is divided in two groups, those how have an iPhone, and those who will soon get one!
