Hey all. I recently purchased a Hisense 65" smart TV that runs on their VIDAA OS. I was impressed with the way it runs, and it has a great remote for shortcuts and so on. But it is lacking in some apps. They just do not appear on their store, and i don't think you can sideload anthing onto it. F1TV and the Very Popular Spotify do not exists. Am I getting something wrong, or are we meant to now adays buy a smart TV with a MiBox?

The reason I opted for TCL. It runs Google TV and it's buttery smooth. It's a bit basic for a smart, but the price was right.

The VIDAA Operating System (OS) is the ultimate content hub and comes pre-installed on all Hisense Smart UHD TVs.

It provides quick and seamless access to all your favourite apps, movies, series, sports, and much more.

This ensures easy navigation across the most popular streaming apps – including Netflix, SABC+, Disney+, Apple’s Viu, DSTV, Showmax, Amazon Prime, YouTube, FIFA, the NBA, and more.

In fact, operating system boot times of less than two seconds and app launches of under one second are the benchmark for VIDAA OS.

You will have access to 400 top global content providers and boost off less than 2 seconds to open any app.

VIDAA OS is extremely secure, runs on linux and will ensure you and your family are protected from any cyber threats.

With a range of features, ease of use, security, global and local content only are some of the reasons why over 250 global TV brands use VIDAA OS across more than 26 million active devices.

The frustrating aspect is that Hisense uses Google TV as the TV operating system in the USA.

What does that have to do with DV and Atmos? Streaming doesn't need storage and both my 8gb boxes have been fine
No it's not https://www.androidpolice.com/2021/08/09/how-to-deal-with-the-new-chromecasts-tiny-storage-space/

Streaming doesn't require a lot of storage. I've had the mi tv stick 4k for over a year not an issue as it's for streaming and Dolby Vision and Atmos work fine. Even with the 16gb on the Nova it's only using 5gb.
