Hello
Like the title says. What are some good visa-free locations for a first time international traveler like myself to go to?
The reason why I'm thinking of visa-free is because I want something hassle free, similar to local traveling, where I can just book flights, accommodation then pack my bags and just go.
I don't have a budget yet, I'll probably allocate the funds around the destination and what I can do once there.
Also this is a late 2020-thing.

Your suggestions will be most welcome.

Also don't let visa's put you off, got my Schengen visa for France within 30 hours of application and that was the std application.

I would highly recommend you figure out what kind of holiday you want and take it from there.

I'm leaning towards a sight seeing. Lots of locations to visit and things I wouldn't normally see here. Just experience a whole new culture. Not the sit at the beach for a week with nothing but gift shops to see type of a holiday.

It's what you make of it.

Unless the place is severely underdeveloped, plenty of beach destinations have a crap-load of other things to do. Do your research beforehand...

Are you going with anyone?
If it's your first time also maybe consider the language barrier - some places are better than others for that. Brazil for example, no visa required and a cool place to visit but maybe not ideal for a guy alone with no prior travel experience compared to say many European places.

I agree with a previous poster though - don't let the visa put you off, decide on a place you really want to see, go from there.

I will be travelling alone. And the thought of the language barrier has crossed my mind and it is something I'll need to work around.

And I think I'll start by selecting a destination first, whether or not it requires a visa and then take it from there.

Took 30 min to fill the forms online when applying for the Indian visa.

Got the visa emailed in 12 hours.

All done from my living room...

if you do decide on India highly recommend watching this to get the most out of your trip

Switzerland. Stunningly beautiful. Easy Visa process and once you have a Shengen, you can go to all the EU countries in one trip. Take trains everywhere. You won't regret it.

So one Schengen visa to rule them all hey? I assume I'll need to apply for the primary country I'll be landing in, right?
