To be fair, it's connected to an MTN tower. I know this because it's the same cell_id as what's available using MTN SuperSonic. I just wonder if there would be an impact on the MTN network quality down the road...

I'm in Port Elizabeth in an area with no fixed-line services. Most of the people in the area are turning LTE since Telkom cables have been stolen for the last time... *waiting for congestion*
Is the service useful at such low speeds? Can you stream from Youtube at 480p etc.?This is mine.

This is my speed currently. I’m using the 400GB package, however first tested using 10Gb package a few days ago. I do sometimes seem to have speed drops to around 10mbps. All in all stable so far. Can’t seem to roam on mtn’s network though, which is twice as fast.
Which area?
I am just outside Fochville. It’s near carletonville.

The very same happened to me and I queried it with Cell C.
Awaiting an answer from Cell C.
What exactly are the Nite Data times - is it midnight to 5:00am, or is it midnight to 5:59am ?
Their FAQ factsheet says it's 00h00 to 05h59 but as this is a promotion I wouldn't be surprised if in actuality it's the same as this other promotion :
The nite bundle for the 50G bundle, valid for 180 days is used from midnight until 05:00 AM

We are aware that the Nite data for the 180 days 50GB bundle is applicable from midnight to 5:00am
The question however is - what are the applicable times for Nite data usage on the Home Connecta Flexi prepaid plan ? ? ?
The Cell C website states midnight to 5:59am are the applicable times.
Is the info on the Cell C website indeed true and correct ? ? ?

They can't really make up their mind on this
Roaming is enabled but it's seamless. You don't go and select MTN as the network operator. To see if you are roaming you would need to insert a MTN sim take note of the Cell IDs and then insert the Cellc sim and note the Cell IDs.
Cellc still has their own network in major cities. In smaller towns and cities they roam on MTN.
I stay in Centurion and it only connects to Cellc towers but in Richards bay and Margate it was connecting to Cellc but the Cell ID was the same as on my MTN simcard that is how you know it roams.
