Home Theatre Projects/Setups

Yeh... I'll have a look tonight... if its too low I'll get another bracket closer to the ceiling, or see if this one can be modified to be closer.

Other wise I'll just assemble it in the roof and pass the pipe through the ceiling.

You may not even notice it once you adjust those settings, but i personally find it irritating even when you adjust the keystone setting. My projector is parallel to the ceiling and the top of my screen is about 30cm below the center of the lens

30cm isn't that bad.... most of the stuff I watch is wide screen, so has black borders anyway.

Please tidy up, xrapidx. Or have the blonde do it...:D

How do these projectors fair when the lights are on? I can't imagine watching TV with the lights off all the time.

Curtains must be closed if watching during the day. At night you can watch with some ambient light. I sometimes watch with the lights at the back of my room on. But i prefer having the lights off. If you have an LCD projector you can watch with lights on and curtains open

What do you guys use/suggest for tidy wire management? Planning on sorting out my wire mess this weekend

Trunking along your skirting and walls and those plastic cable sleeves that you get from verimark or glomail. I've got the one made by ellies for my speaker wires and it works quite well and looks neat.

thanks. I'll definitely be checking one of those stores out.

Woot! My Epson 8350 just arrived from the US. Will post some pics later.

@xrapidx I need to come check out your setup so I can get some ideas on how to best get things installed at my place :)

I'm home this weekend - its not 100% yet - but you're more than welcome.

Interesting choice in projector :)

Lucky bugger :)

I have to wait before I can start setting up my Home Theater properly... damn stupid transfer agents and such.....

Cool. I will give you a ring!

Well, Jannie convinced me that DLP was the wrong technology and that 3LCD was the way to go. It compared very favourably to the Panasonic PT-AE4000U and was only slightly more expensive than the Optoma HD20.

Don't forget that first rates bill. Still waiting for mine....
