Homekit recommendations

After adding the camera I couldn’t get them to stream on my iPhone or iPad but it worked flawlessly on the Apple TV, after much fruitless troubleshooting and googling I remembered I have the Cloudflare VPN running on my devices once that was disabled it worked perfectly. Streaming worked fine with the VPN on the Eufy app.
Can you not stream via Apple Home on a VPN?

You need a device to act as the hub to be able to run a Apple Home but what does the hub device actually do?

My camera is on a mini ups and I was expecting it to go offline in Apple Home during load-shedding but I was surprised to see it was still accessible during loadsehdding despite the Apple TV which is the hub being offline

The hub is only required for remote access, ie when your phone is not connected to your home wifi

Can anyone help with getting eachen smart switch into pairing mode

Can't seem to find it in ewelink app

Do these require a hub or connect directly to wifi router?

It looks like it uses wifi, so usually means it connects directly to your router.

I also thought so

For the life of me I can't get it connected
Did you follow the website's advice about connecting it to Wi-Fi within one week?
If that is not the issue, consider creating a separate SSID on your router dedicated to 2.4GHz or separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, as IoT devices often only connect to 2.4GHz. Additionally, avoid using symbols on the 2.4GHz network password

Thank you

Only installed Saturday after delivery Friday

I've switched off 5ghz, moved router closer, checked password, tried Bluetooth pairing as well

I'll change password and try that way thanks

When dB board is switched off and back on it flashes as if in pairing mode

Once I switch light on and off and hold button for extended periods, it doesn't seem to be going into pairing mode at all

I use the Aqara switch, which requires a hub and an adapter plate available at ISP Home. However, it's worth noting that they only offer only up to two gangs.

Meross also sells a light switch.

what system do you want to use it with? Eg homekit, HA, google

Google home for now and busy paying with HA still

I would need 1, 2, 3 and 4 gangs at least
