@Hamster if you ask Siri to play something on the stereo pair, that’s what you’ll get… if you ask her to play something on the stereo pair *and* other rooms the playback synchronises across all the rooms you include in the ask.

But that's not the same as getting 5 channel output. That's just playing the same thing over 5 speakers.

Oh you mean like 5 in one room type vibe.
The logistics of that would concern me more.
But also music is in stereo, so makes sense to pair in stereo only.

The R2,399 HomePod Mini has an effective conversion rate of R24.23.
The big HomePod has an effective conversion rate of R24.08. Yeah, it sucks to pay $409 for a $300 gadget, but we should have expected that price from iStore.
