Back in the 90's yeah...

Panty wearing individuals are a bit more classy in general now... the ones who drop their panties for this are not the ones you want dropping their panties.

No need to be rude.

This guy probably drives a nice lowered VW 1.3 carb with a nice freeflow exhaust and branches. Probably a 260 cam and 19" rims. I suspect he's the boss in the hood and gets laid plenty.

Haters will be hating :p

I am so glad I am not the only one who hates the doof-doof-boom-boom cars.

131.7dB with all that??

Not to pp on your parade but back in the day I did 135dB with the following:
1x 60Wx4 RMS Starsound Amp
1x 150W RMS 12" Pioneer Free-air sub that I put in a band-pass box, tuned for peak dB at 55Hz. The sub was running bridged from channel 3/4 from the same Starsound amp that ran everything else.

Wattage means very little if you cannot install your woofer in a proper enclosure that is channeled and dampened for the specifications of the woofer. And by enclosure I do not mean these boxes you get from Makro/Hi-Fi corp that are essentially just a chipboard chamber with grey carpeting.

You either have high SPL or balanced sound quality. Never both.

Dude, sounds like a real sweep thumper system :D
Just ignore all these A holes that can not appreciate a good quality system!!!
Please just look at your electrical safety aspects.
At 1800W you pulling over 150Amps. For that alone you will need a 50mm cable. Your alternator and battery will also suffer hugely.
Post picks!!!

Correction, the dash on the later versions of the MK1 Golf was nicked from a MK1 Skoda Fabia.

We prefer audio fidelity first and foremost.

Not just boomy bass.

To go up one decibel you would have to double the power if I remember correctly excluding other environmental factors. But then again is it SPL or music which also plays a difference?

As @wetkit pointed out. You need to be very careful with the wiring. Those are some serious amps and you don't want to burn out your car.

But if you do happen to burn out your car, please post a link to the video clip here.

Hi Guys

I upgraded my cars sound last week.

I previously had these:
one 1400 w peak power 450 RMS 12" Pioneer Championship Series
one Audiobank 2400 W Pro Series 4 channel Amp

My highet that I pushed to date with that is 131.7 dbs.

Now I have:
Now I have the DD (Digital Designs) 600 Redline Series 12" 600 RMS 1800 W Peak with the Targa Baby Beast 6000 W Peak Power and 2000 RMS amp.

How much do you guys think ill be able to push now?

Thanks

AGPeens

:)
Around 155dB
