Im hoping that Tshwane doesn't follow suit as Joburg did by adding service charges / network charges to the rates - its only a matter of time
Same here in durban except we have flat rate.I must say now that I live in a free standing home with one of those old open meters it's not too bad. They just charge the tariff as displayed here they aren't adding any network charges.
With prepaid there are service charges and fees if buying from 3rd parties.
With the open meter I just do the meter reading each month. Load it on the portal and that is it.

In Apr of this year the billing structure changed drastically to be less focused on consumption with more built-in fees.
