Usually a Saturday night Indian curry with pilau rice and a naan bread.

Used to be 2 or 3 times per month, but we've cut back lately

Since I got the Philips airfryer not much. Eat out 2 times a week though. Takeaways are just too expensive nowadays and the R50 off Uber / MrD eats vouchers also dried up. The Monday burger specials at restaurants are still worth it for R80 and a nice breakfast on Saturday is also necessary.

Usually a Saturday night Indian curry with pilau rice and a naan bread.

There are many Indian restaurants which have "buy one, get one free" deals on Uber Eats so that is something you can consider if you want to save a bit.

Near where I am, there is one that has two quarter Chicken bunnies for R120.

never.made by unknown people , unknown conditions , unknown ingredients and unwashed hands .

Depends, if you order from budget restaurants, it is about the same if not cheaper than cooking but probably unhealthy.
Unlikely. Add in the service fee, delivery fee plus a 10% tip and even the 2 for 1 deals work out more expensive than the normal takeaway joint's price.

Now... pretty rarely. Previously like once or twice a day.

It was bad. Became a lifestyle disease. Resulted in GERD, which resulted in snoring and minor sleep apnea... which had all kinds of impact on my life.

Sounds crazy, but it gets crazy if you're not keeping it in check.

Hardly ever, we have an awesome fish plaice in westville I support. Nice portions awesome quality, the guys at Shongweni market do nice chow.other than that I can't afford it and I can make better and cheaper food at home.

Used to be a time when I thought there is no way I can make a better burger than steers at home, that's not the case anymore

What fish place? I'm in Westville at the moment.

A 500ml lamb curry and roti costs R120… and then there’s like 50g lamb in it. I can cook better and get 8x more for that money. Why are people so intent on ripping us off?

McDonald’s, on the other hand, is pretty cheap if you use the loyalty app. If I eat there it’s mostly for convenience’s sake though.

More of the "quality" takeaways these days, like Chinese meals and Pedros. Places like McDonnalds are a health menace.
There’s nothing about McDonald’s that’s worse than Pedros, health wise. It depends on what you order.

Other: Food - not very often at all - twice a year perhaps?
But now that our coffee machine broke, we get just coffee about twice a week.
