HTC DESIRE HD

I have another worry. LEAF will import lets say 5000 units . out of those units say 1500 to Jo'burg for distrabution 1000 CT, 1000 to KZN, 800 to Bloom, 800 to PE, 800 to Nelspruit. 100 on pre order to Lab88. The first truck to Jo'burg gets Hijacked SA distrabution is now less 100 units... anyway you get the point. whats the chances of us getting our phones in the first batch????

also disappointed by the audio quality portion of the review. maybe they just had a bum handset? ah well, looks like i'll have to get one of those new nano's in anycase.

Ive got a N70, it will be music to my ears when i get the phone.

This is the first time I have actually heard about the poor sound. And I thought I had read up quite a lot on the phone. Infact a few reviews I have read, I think they said the sound was good :?

Well, some people are mentioning it in other discussion boards....not sure if it's really true.

I'lll tell you when I get my Desire HD. :)

Its got a Dolby and SRS. IPhone doesn`t have that.

Why is it that we always compare every handset ever manafactured to the IPhone.:wtf: I think a new Standard is in order. The old Desire shold be it.:D

Sound is not really a problem if you look at speaker size video and applications is more for me and esp flash player but i just Remembered i have a buddy in a high position at MTN and i emailed him now he will try and give us exact date of release as leaf already told me they receive stock 20th and outlets can sell on 25th well lets see what he says.:p

And you only tell us that now? Shame on you Howie!

the GSM Arena review did not say how the battery performs? or did i miss it?
vital aspect

All that he says is that MTN is in the testing phase of the phone he has seen one at head office and yes its to die for and he is going to get one but he has to wait like us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No they never mentioned it. I think due to the fact that it is probably an expected length of a smart phone. All those moaning about battery length have probably either set up the phone badly, or never really used a smart phone before, and expect the same battery life as an ordinary phone. I think the battery lasting 1 day is perfectly fine for a smart phone. And so all the complaints about the battery seem very far fetched to me.

just then seems unfair on the other phones they reviewed, they should at least say that if it was the case.
This battery thing on phones is getting stupid. I accept that those who really want this phone are willing to have to recharge everyday, but really?...one day?

I had a Milestone that could get a day & a half, or i could kill it within a few hours on Angry Birds & Operamini. Now unless u are office bound or at home all day, it MUST become an inconvenience. I could'nt live with the Milestone co i go out to building sites ( to hell-and-gone in the KZN Midlands) & damned if i get stuck out there with a flat battery cos the most fancy screen & 1 GHZ processor is not going to help then, is it?

the DHD is a damn nice phone, but why does the battery life not improve relative to the fancy features of these new phones!

Its down to the actual battery. the phone itself is probably more efficient than the HTC Evo (in terms of battery use) the only problem is that the Evo has a 1500mAh battery, the DHD has a 1200mAh battery.

as i said a few posts earlier. the Evo has the 1st gen 65nm snapdragon, the DHD has the 2nd gen 45nm snapdragon, which is far more efficient

This thread is running out of steam quickly. Just like my patience for my DHD

The subscribers of this thread most likely all have 1 thing in common....waiting for that glimmer of hope that the almighty DHD has hit our stores. I know I'm hopelessly desperate for it.

I know this isn't the news you're wanting but for what its worth, I went to MTN Canal Walk today and they said its coming in JANUARY. I'm still living in hope that its before then.

Most stores only see the picture but dont really its the update of the desire, hence i believe the phone will be here the after the 25th of November as leaf has told me and a insider at Mtn other wise they would not have said in the book coming soon so guys lets have some hope its just a few more days:)
