HTC DESIRE HD

Syncing with Google is brilliant. I don't even back up anything when chopping and changing ROMs any more - Google takes care of my contacts, and Android takes care of my installed apps. It just... works.

Good point, will remember for the future. The problem however was not with HTC, but getting the Samsung to cooperate! I suppose once data off, I could use Google.

Nah, I know. It's more a general remark than advise to you in this specific instance, I suppose. But it really does work well. I'm also not surprised that it was a Samsung that wouldn't play along - I'll never own one of those again, either. ;)

Since I started running all my mail accounts through Gmail, my phone's battery life has increased significantly & data usage has dropped a lot.

Would definitely recommend it. :)

Looks like my experiment is paying off....I'm on 28 hours since last charge and still have 6 out of 10 green bars on my battery*. Yes!

*Also taking in consideration that most people on the XDA Developers Forum said the battery only starts working properly after 2 months.

I'm getting annoyed with the sms bug - seems to be happening at random - Delete SMS, and another SMS (or full thread) gets deleted.

Going to try a 3rd party app.

Just noticed I installed my car cradle upside down :(

If you have downloaded the "Keyboard from Android 2.3 by Steven Lin" from the Market, there is an update available for it.

Now it runs buttery smooth on my phone and a real joy to use. Go grab it. ;)

Just went to Market > My Apps and it showed me an update was available. Let me check the version I have....

*I have version 1.0.11

I have that already. Just noticed that mine is set to auto update :)

That's clever! :)

I don't do the auto updates, cos sometimes the devs get sneaky and slip something in. Prefer to do it manually.

Huh? Didn't notice... maybe because I no longer use SMSs?
