Ok - traffic does work - only annoying thing is the constant GPRS requirement - I keep getting "SERVICE NOT AVAILABLE" for maps while driving, and it doesn't seem to cache maps, as its reloading maps it loaded yesterday.
It was nice to see the traffic - and an option to route around it, although the functionality is very basic at this stage.
Any idea what the full service costs?

I'm having trouble finding the satellite. Google Maps doesn't have the issue. Still deciding in navigation software. Hmmm...

Eish upsetting. Last thing anyone would want is a scratch on their screen! They should've gone gorilla atleast

It's as scratch resistant as what you can expect normal glass to be. My year-old Desire still doesn't have any scratches on the screen. It's not quite Gorilla glass, but it ain't a cellophane sweetie wrapper either.
Ah ok. I guess it all depends on how the user handles it. Thanks for the info. Considering the HD & the N8 at the moment.
Yeh - I see my phone was locked to GSM ... will try again this afternoon. Although I probably wont go with this purely because you can't cache maps - and if you go out of coverage area's - you're screwed.
I'd prefer something with SD maps - and then traffic through GPRS.

It's a fairly simple decision far as I'm concerned - are you looking for the best smartphone currently available, or a camera that happens to be able to make phone calls?

I agree. It HAS to work that way otherwise it's not a very viable solution for us saffers.

As long as we agree that the N8 is the toy you're referring to, sure.
Same thing this morning...sat in traffic for 45min and then it only reported the traffic.. not impressed.
Rather going to go back to Google Navigation- at least it caches

Sure, that is your'e ex-spert opinion.That's the thing about certain MyBB "consumer item" fanatics's. They only believe what they want to believe and punt their own "ownership", that is until the next fad strikes home.
