Typical South African support - even after listing the settings point by point so they couldn't possibly miss it, they still ask me to check if the bloody option is checked.

Considering the lack of response from HTC/Leaf - I have now logged a complaint with ASASA as this was a service I would have used, if you have a look on this forum you'll see my previous phone went missing 3x in the last two times.

I suggest who ever else wants to see this fixed do the same... probably less effort to fix it than undo the advertising.

I still think it's not so much HTC, as Leaf and our cellular companies that's not playing ball.

Because Sense is so closely integrated into Android, guess it's a lot of testing before releasing udpates. I know the Samsung update was pulled by Google right after it got released.
 
To be honest I dont really care about HTC's tracking as I have AVG installed with findr active I even get an email when the sim is changed and have all the functions of the sense website + I can do it with custom roms
 
Getting HTC Sense UI not responding a lot when I boot up. Still takes about 45s before the busy symbol for the mem card goes away. Lately DHD just goes black/unresponsive. Have to take the battery out every time.

Maybe the SD card thats playing up? And how old is your sim card? I'll start by replacing them, just to be 100% sure.

Tried the 2GB from my old N78. It now takes 60sec and it's a 1/4 of the size?
 
And what did you do with the 8GB SD card that came with your phone? Maybe pop that in again, format it with Android and see how it performs?

Do you know where you can get / dl the stock MTN image that came with the SD card out the box (map data, books etc.)?

Oh crap, didn't think of that, cos the navigation maps are all on there, or is it on the phone storage?

Will have to go browse my SD card tonight and see what's on there.

Apps > Locations

Type in any address and it will pop up with premium navigation or google navigation (not available in SA yet)
 
True that, but I'm using the Route66 Navigation. Perfect for my needs.

You're one of the lucky ones. Most of us don't have the Route 66 trial installed on our phones and have to wait till it's commercially available :-(
