HTC One X

this is bad news for me, as i had another network signal loss yesterday, guess no use even trying the ruu,
i will just send the phone in and hope they fix it.
thanks for the feedback

@name_less - my fastboot is already unticked and still losing network signal randomly
before it asked for my pin after awhile but now it just stays without signal
trying to manually search for network brings up "error searching for networks"
Did mine this afternoon. Upgrade was fine. Definite improvement w.r .t the smoothness of the phone. However my replacement One X is having the same symptoms of loosing the GSM network.

Phone will be returned tomorrow morning. :-(

dude can you give me the number of the techie? i want to ask him abt the losing network issue?
Well they fixed the wifi issue and called me the next day to collect, took it in on Monday at 14h30, got a call at 15h00 yesterday.

But the main issue was still there, phone doesnt detect sim, or detects the sim periodically. Spoke to a techie there and he was more than willing to assist, going to call him now to get a status update. Hopefully its done and I wont have to fork anything out :)

Overall really good experience from Regenersis.

This "loss-of-network signal" issue is interesting. I have a One S which was updated recently too. This morning I was driving with the GPS active (in Car mode), when I noticed that I'd lost network signal. I rebooted the phone and still had no signal. It returned a while later, so I attributed the issue to the area I was in. Got to work and after a while my phone was again showing no signal. Not sure if this is a definite issue on the One S too.

It is one S issue as well

HTC is currently working on a software fix to address the issues highlighted in this thread for the One X and One S. Once we receive the update from HTC, we'll pass it through the usual testing process and, when approved, HTC will make it available to customers as soon as possible. In the meantime, thank you for your patience whilst this was investigated.

Great news that they're actually attending to the issue though, cos I'm loving the One S immensely!

There are bugs on the HTC One X "1.29.401.11" firmware.

People who are having problems with "No signal", "No service" or can't pick sim card on HTC One X. Go to settings -> Power and uncheck "fast boot". This should fix the "no service" problem after reboot.

this sounds like this would have fixed my issues on jelly been. so without having tested it, i would suggest that this is a solution that will still be usable in 4.1

doesnt help on 1.29.401.11 for the one x
those that are on 2.17 now, has the no network happened often still?

did you send your phone in? have you received any feedback from them?

Second phone was returned as well. MTN shop send a mail to HTC w.r.t to the issue, and was advised by HTC to do a sim swap. I know that is not going to solve the issue, and MTN shop agreed with me. (I have a vodacom microsim for my Ipad that I have tried)

Long story short, my upgrade was cancelled, and I re-upgraded to a Galaxy S3. Real pity, since I really liked the feel and interface of the One X. S3 is ***** in that regard.

Had my HOX a week now (made sure it was a recent serial number, SW27XXX...) and I've had no signal loss issues, but I'm on Vodacom, had the Xperia S for a month prior (died in a rain storm), and I can honestly say the HOX is truly amazing, in another league, very happy so far. :)

Just finished installing. UI is noticeably smoother!

I can confirm that too. The dedicated menu button is makes so much difference as games and the like are now full screen. It comes with an EA Games app which lets you download Dead Space for free :D
