HTC One X

how are you using 3g/hspa only?
surely theres some areas with no 3g coverage?

on the bad news side. had a signal loss this morning. damnit
wondering if its an app as i installed 2 last nite. removed one.checking to see what happens
those who are having signal issues, are you'll using notification toggles from the market by any chance?

I'm covered on "wcdma only" about 99% of the time. It's only when taking an arb drive up the coast towards balito etc do i experience a drop for a minute here and there.
Since Sunday I've switched to CM10 and n3ocort3x 2.17 kernel. underclocked to 1.3ghz and undervolted by 100. Easily getting 3.5 hours screen on time. On CM10 i've left it on wcdma preferred but still am on 3g 99% of the time.
Try install getril from play store and make sure your ril matches your baseband.

Edit : Those with signal drops, please post your radio version

I did an upgrade on the 5th and the phone was faulty so I gave it back on the 6th
Have been waiting for my replacement so they finally let me know I can Get my phone tomorrow (13th) they only have the white one (I must have the black one) but I want to cancel my upgrade and go over to Vodacom...
MTN is Horrible but will I be able to cancel my upgrade ? Do I have 7 or 10 days ?

By the sounds of things - there still a few issues with the HTC One X. I'm due for an upgrade in the next 2 weeks and I was sold on this phone (until I read this forum... damn). Anyone want to convince me why I should still get one?

its true
signal issues and wifi(known problem) being the most common
but then again i know many ppl who dont have any issues. so ya
im getting my one x back from regenersis today (3rd time)
get the s3, if you not happy with it.and if my one x is working properly, we can swop :p

personal experience. i say get the s3 or wait for the lumia 920

one x is a great phone when it works and unfortunately for me that was only 70% of the time which is too little for me...

or the new htc 8X, that thing looks awesome - big competition for the lum 920

yeah i hope my one x works now. else this time im going to mtn, to show them my 3 receipts from regenersis,
im going to ask for cancellation so i can get the s3
but i love the one x.so lets hope this one is going to be fine

Besides the laminated coating on the screen that seems pretty scratch-prone, I've had no issues with my One X so far. No hardware or signal issues at all. I just want to get a decent screen protector for the phone then the lamination issue shouldn't affect me anymore, as I can't see the scratches if the screen is clean.

yeah i also think so
once i get mine back. if i have the issue.im putting another sim in it,i dont see anyone on vodacom complaining?
if its mtn issue.what do we do.....
back to using my desire S while waiting for my htc one x to arrive.hoping for today

well so far about 2 weeks and i havent lost conection once, though im wondering if this is an MTN issue? i rebooted my phone yesterday and it took about 5 minutes before it conected to the network

glad to hear you dont have any issues

guys who are having issues. do you have a white or grey/black one x
and are you all with mtn? or voda also?

Also looking into getting the One X. Deciding point for me was that the HTC looks like a way better build than the S3 (That looks like a plastic boat to me..)

grey onex i had on mtn. loved it but frustration got too much.

five minutes for a connection after reboot is speedy and I woudn't be too bothered if that was my problem. I sometimes had to wait 20 minutes or so. Almost got thrown out of a pharmacy waiting for the connection lol (needed a phone script)

Also the random network loss, wifi not connecting. rebooting the phone worked but then you lost connection to the cell network

my desire, is instant on, instant off, airplane mode works as well. yay.

not rushing mtn for a new phone. the longer they take, the more chance of a 920 or 8X...

it must be a mtn issue then, cause i dont see anyone on voda complaining
and overseas also not many ppl with this issue

if paul has stated it, you can be pretty sure it is going to happen.

Been a while, I am interested to hear your outcome. I eventually rooted my phone and now I am using ARHD rom and I haven't looked back.
