It's not random that's the official Huawei OTA server link.
with all respect. strangers on the internet...

Also, update.hicloud.com / www.hicloud.com / and any partial path to the file gives a polite, but unhelpful "An error occurred." message
So I do not have any way to ascertain what is going on on that domain

If I click the Guest Wi-Fi toggle button on that screen, I get the following

After which it just reverts back to this:

Log into the router and check if there are any updates available.
Go to More Functions > Manage Updates. Perform a manual online update.
  • Update manually online
You can always check whether new updates are available for your router. If new updates are available, you can download and install them manually.

Click Update Now to check whether new updates are available for your router. If new updates are available, click One-click update to perform an online upgrade.

@gotaway
I'm having the exact same problem - click the toggle, shows the pop up "saving settings"... but reverts back to unchecked toggle aftewards.

Also on same firmware version, showing that it is the "latest".

Were you able come right?

Only way I could activate the guest network was via the HAUWEIAILife app on the cell phone. Configured & activated it there, with no issues after that

Try the official firmware^^
You've not substantiated any claim to the binary link you posted being official, or even that it is actually hosted on an official Huawei server. All your claims of it being the OTA server is just that: YOUR claim.

Actually according to my digging, the version numbers to the binary you posted indicates that the firmware points to a different AX3 version (quad core?) than the one provided my Afrihost (dual core).
