See if there's a firmware update, if there is try it. If not maybe take it back if you just bought it.

Hi Jun_tao , Latest firmware update installed . i would take it back but i bought it from an online supplier and this would mean sending it via courier and having to be without these awesome connection speeds i have very quickly become accustomed to .... im pretty sure this is something im overlooking ...a minor setting/change that needs to be made ...

You must investigate. Compare informations on the sticker and from the Web page. Some crossflashing of different models leads to losing WiFi. Also check security seal to see whether router had been opened. There are two screw on the bottom, one should be covered by a seal.

Re-flash firmware as already suggested. Use local update with the same version, not online update.

Hey Sajunky , thanks for the reply , been reading your posts around these routers for the past couple of days and did flash the router with the firmware that seems to be the most popular from symbianize ... didnt make any difference to the wifi at all . the sticker on the router and the web page / description both say huawei b315s-936 , i assume this is what you are talking about . the one screw is covered with a sticker

Maybe you should return to the Telkom firmware. If WiFi configuration data is not destroyed in result of chosing wrong flashing method, WiFi should be back online.

When you finish debranding, re-flash again from the WEB interface (or Multicast tool) with the latest version. Don't forget to perform hardware reset between flashing.

BTW, What is a current firmware version?

The firmware that i flashed to was B315s-936_UPDATE_21.313.03.00.372_SouthAfrica and when that made no difference and the router was asking to be updated again i allowed it to do the online update and still no wifi , well there is wifi but as soon as i try connect any device it reboots the router

In which moment did you lose WiFi?

I suggested in my previous post to download the same firmware file and do local update. You are lucky that online update didn't brick a router.
