Hello everyone,

I see the Huawei E367 is available from 8ta. Since it has a proper external antenna connector, I want to buy one of these.

How do I get one from 8ta, how much does I cost, and what must I take with me (paper work/documentation)?

Thanks :)

I wonder why asking for ID when purchasing modem?
Did you receive free SIM card too?

Yes, got a "free SIM", for some unknown reason, they could not make my "test SIM" non-roaming ... , don't know why ...

i also had to do that via the ph not in store - otherwise the 2 + 1 promo isn't available in the bundle options

Can I ask which aerial you will/have used with the E367?
Is that a better dongle than the E1820 I see people talking about?
thanks

Thanks for that, and for the interesting link. I see one guy there got hooked up to an old TV antenna.
I have a cellphone yaggi antenna on my house from back in the day, wonder if that would work at all?

How soon will you be getting your E367 and Poynting antenna?
Might we prevail upon you for a report-back? :)
many thanks
Jim

I already have the antenna, which I tested with an E156E (MTN sim card). Without the antenna, the best I got was -95dBm. With the antenna connected and pointing in the direction of a MTN tower, the signal improved to -63dBm :D

The E367 is actually not for me, but as soon as I get it for testing, I will report my results here, using my 8ta sim.
