Huawei Mate 20

Members! I am deciding on whether to pull the trigger on the Mate 20 Pro (or P30 Pro).

Prefer the ease of face-unlock on the Mate.

Question is: How widespread are the screen issues? I see the screen isnt the most power efficient either.

Suspect you will be happy with any one of them, battery life is amazing on the M20Pro, so don't think you need to worry about the screen power efficiency, that's not a issue.

So it's really up to you what is more important. Having used both extensively, the 8GB RAM, 256GB internal memory and Zoom lense of the P30 Pro wins for me, it feels like something truly special, that Periscope lense is one hell of a party piece.

I'd take the P30P now, given a chance.

But, as I've said before, I really hope they don't remove the Face ID feature from the M30P.

Has anyone experienced saved contacts disappearing off their phone? I had 3 new contacts lasts week, then Saturday my phone ran out of battery power and died, when it booted up after I plugged it in all 3 saved contacts from earler the week were gone.

On software version 9.0.0.247

Well, when I took aout a contract I sightned for a phone that will get updates and has accdess to the playstore, if that disapears then Vodacom needs to replace with a phone that has access?
I'm also sitting with a Telkom contract I heard that Huawei had a back up os in place trump is a freaking orange for doing stupid things.

Well that's even worse haha, then we would be able to give it back seeing I signed up for a Android phone lol

Think this is going to hurt Huawei more than they thought, I would not touch any products of there's at the moment till everything is cleared up.

Wonder what will happen with Huawei PCs? No MS support or patches either?

Hi think this will be different. I think MS Windows is licensed to the end customer, not to the hardware vendor. Maybe they wont supply laptops with Windows pre-instaleld anymore but I dont see user installed Windows to be an issue with regards to updates.

Huawei had got a 90 day grace from Google

To sort software update out etc

I do think Huawei should use this time to move all devices to there own OS

If they don't give my device a major software updates, I won't be purchasing another one and I won't buy Samsung also
