Well Huawei messaged me on a Sunday night at 9pm saying that the new batch will arrive 19 to 2e Nov and we will be contacted accordingly for the exchange along with a powerbank to say sorry. Not bad at all.

Will you be getting the replacement directly from Huawei or are they sending you back to the store where you bought it?
 
Mate 20 Pro vs. LG V40 - Wide Angle Lense shootout, this is quite an interesting comparison as LG have been doing wide angle for a long time. I can see why many preferred to have a Wide Angle Lense vs. Telephoto back when Dual Cameras were a thing

One thing I don't understand though is why do I need to scale down my pics from 40mp to 10mp to be able to access the zoom functions in photo mode. Any ideas on how to get around that problem?

A guess is they're somehow using software for the zoom (ie use 40MP and automatically crop in) to assist with zooming. I'm sure there is fancy software going on in the background

Yeah we're all waiting in anticipation. Telling people they will receive an awesome watch but then making them wait. Eish, 1st world problems, neh.
