My memory card is corrupted now, even after formatting yesterday, and not having anything on the memory card.
Try testing the card in another device. Ideally a device which you know works with that exact card.
I meant Huawei brand. But according to gsmarena Honor 8x has Gorilla Glass 3.

I put it back in my P10 Lite last night, after formatting AGAIN! I contacted Huawei last night, so I'll see what their response is. Not sure if I need to return the phone, because tomorrow is day 7.
@miz_pimp. Could you give us details of this SD card, please?
It would help us to determine which SD cards are compatible with these phones.
There are different modes and power requirements for each mode, smartphones would rather use power efficient modes. Some high performance UHS-II cards can consume as much 2.88W which is far from desired. Do your card comes out hot when removing from the phone after transfering lot of data?
Not that I can recall, no.

I can't fathom that the memory card works perfectly in my P10 Lite, but not in the P30 Lite. The Mate 20 Lite is problematic too, and they've tried many different SD cards. Looks like they updated their website, they didn't list the P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro has having Gorilla Glass previously. Huawei needs to also be more transparent about their specs that they list on their website, if it has gorilla glass they must say so and not keep quite about it.
It does seem only important to a few who look at marketting buzzwords. Every Huawei phone has a tempered glass. Whether a glass is a gorilla make, or some other glass, it is not so important.

This is Lite Club. The first rule of Lite Club is we don't talk about "the sales (or hype)".
Despite my previous posts about the memory card issue (I'm still testing that), it really is an amazing device! It's really snappy, it looks great, and feels comfortable in the hand, even though I have small hands. Also, even with gaming, my battery life is impressive; I get a good 5 to 6+ hours of Screen On Time.
