Huawei P6

It's a Lithium-Polymer battery, not that difficult to replace by yourself if it's out of warranty. You'll probably have to import a replacement battery though for around R200 inc shipping.

My warranty covers the battery from 3 months after purchase and I'm on my 4th month.
I also have to be fair because I used a BB cable charger and not the huawei one when plugging in so I can't claim.
After I removed the back cover of the phone I was surprised to see the battery flat - not swollen at all,
then I click the back cover on and what do you know the phone doesn't have that bulge any more.

That would make sense as I don't have any battery issues except that I thought it was damaged, maybe it will swell as I will charge it now.

Does not matter usign a BB charger on the P6, a charger is a charger, as long as its the correct voltage it makes no difference, the only differences are AMPs and the phone will take what it needs and no more, My phone gets charged with a P1, P6, Note 1 or Nexus 7 charger and powered usb hub depending on where in my room or am or how fast I want it to charge at work.

Hi guys is it possible for me to revert from onmi back to b132. Omni has a few bugs and all apps are just force closing and battery life sucks.

What version are u using, I been on omni for a few weeks maybe longer, on my 3rd update I think and no battery problems, bugs that I can see and nothings force closed on me.
Only sort of negative is my launcher restarting on occasion, but that is the direct result of an option enabled in on of my Xposed mods, so nothing to do with Omni. Beyond that I cannot notice any abnormal battery drain, in fact, pretty sure battery life is better, my avg drop is usually under 5% per hour.

I am on the 25-05 update. My contacts won't sync and all Google apps mainly force close e.g. play music calendar. I really like the ROM and want to keep it if these issues can be fixed.

Did you update GAPPS? They released a new GAPPS build with the 2205 update.
Did you remember to wipe dalvic cache and cache on update, these are the top 3 reasons you will be having problems with google apps.

Also see I have not updated to 2505, but reading the post, 2505 is the un-optimized version of 2205

Still no update from Vodacom....

Dude, the update has not left Asia yet, forget Vodacom.
There is 1 of 7 contents who currently have P6 Kitkat official, the deadline for rest of world keeps moving, last I heard it was this month.

Not...OK I did the upgrade today and it seems OK ... Every thing works 3G, data etc. No ART and the Emotion 2.3 filemanager does not incorporate cloud memory like in the Chinese version. But its KitKat!

Instructions for installing the B510 upgrade:
1-update to B132 official firmware
2-download the B510 and don’t extract the zip file
3-rename the B510 zip file to (update)
4-create a folder on your sd card under the name of (dload)
5-copy the zip file to the dload folder on your sd card
6-follow the same local update method
7-the update process will take a while don’t panic

The full update.app from Huawei ROMANIA is here, http://www.huaweidevice.ro/huawei-support/?c=1&searchInput=Huawei+Ascend+P6, that should save you quite a few steps.

Another thing, the cloud service and Huawei ID apps can be installed as normal apks, and works as it should. ;)

Yes you can install the Chinese apps but I don't want to use Huawei's cloud I want to use Google . I don't think Huawei and Google have much cooperation !

Did you check under developer options for art? Now that you are on 4.4 can you still copy stuff to your micro SD card using a 3rd party file manager like ES?

I have not tried it but I can't see why not. The one thing I did noticed is that one can now select SD memory as your preferred memory and then all your downloads are saved to a download folder on your SD card.
