Huawei P6

I have the phone for almost 2 weeks now, no issues, rooting was very simple.
 
Guys .... I just wanna say that even though I have hardly used the phone ... I am already in love with it. The screen is beautiful and crisp .... much better than my old RAZR. Getting used to the UI still though .... as it works like the Iphone.

So how would you guys rate the phone?
Anyne done any comparisons to other phones eg. S4 etc?
 
My biggest concern is the battery though. I hasn't been getting very favorable reviews concerning daily usage. Oh, and apparently the back gets quite warm as well.

I read the same complaints when I was buying my Ascend P1 but little was I told that there is a Power Saving option in the Settings Menu.

The back does not get too hot, however the LED "flash" get very hot....there is an app that measure your heartbeat with the camera, it's actually unusable on the P6.
 
So what's the verdict? Good phone? Want to get this for my mother on Cell C Straight Up 100 with Discovery Mobile for R298 per month

100 minutes, 100 SMS, 200MB data, Free calls to Discovery Mobile subscribers (My sister is getting that option on her Cell C contract so they'll both save a lot).
 
My mum just spoke to the Cell C/Discovery Mobile sales consultant and they say they can't port her number. She has a red bull number which is currently on prepaid after her RBM200 contract expired this week.

That's just pathetic, so I told her to cancel. Can't port her number? WTF :mad:

Now that you have the phone you left out the most important part. Did you get Justin Bieber Cd. Did you get it, did you? I'm so excited about the cd. That's the main reason I want this phone. :D

if she is on rbm prepaid she needs to port her number to a cell c prepaid sim
contact the cell c rep if u cant get it right

Ja, I PM'd Cell C rep. Will see what he says.

This has been one f up after another. When my mother was in Month 22, we tried to move from RBM200 to a Cell C Straight Up with Discovery Mobile. Store and call centre said it can't be done. Cell C rep said it can. Blah Blah Blah, more stories until Cell C rep sends me a message on 07 July saying you can't upgrade with 1 month remaining, must pay R307 to cancel the contract or wait till contract expires.

Does Cell C know what they're doing?
 
Assuming these okes can port the number, thinking of maybe getting the S4 mini for R318 per month (R20 more). Can the 2 phones be compared? S4 mini is dual core 1.7GHz with 1.5GB RAM, while the P6 is quad core 1.5GHz with 2GB RAM. The emotion ui and non-removable battery is making me doubt the Huawei

The comparisons are quite close though with one being better that the other in certain areas. I'm going with the P6 because I like the look of the the Huawei and its something different.

Looking at the comparison, pretty close match overall. Undecided, though. After reading the gsmarena review of the P6, I'm tempted to go for the P6. I think if I play around with the phone, I'll get a better idea.
