Huawei P8 & P8 Lite - Reviews, tips & tricks

So i am running balongc52b311 on Marshmallow...

what would i need to do to get dual sim functionality that VC blocked on my P8 lite
 
I tried to upgrade from B151 to B200 but it failed. Getting message "Software install failed. Get help from http://www.emui.com/emotiondownload.php?mod=restore"

You need to match build codes.
Look at your build number - eg, mine is GRA-UL00C185B320

Only firmwares that match that will work. So I'd need to look for a later build for C185 than I currently have (or one that is known compatible with C185)

Mine is GRA-L09V100R001C900B151. The one I tried to install was C432B200. So I must search for a later build for C900 ?

Ok so I managed to do some updates. First I upgraded from C900B151 to C900B170 EUR. Then I was able to update to C432B200. Tomorrow I will try GRA-L09C B370 Eur Full
 
So I have now updated to GRA-L09C B370 Eur Full. I'm having some issues now. I cannot find my storage icon in settings anymore. When phone is connected to laptop via usb it shows "Charge only" although Usb debugging is on in settings. Any ideas how to fix this ?

Did you do a factory reset after update? Sometimes you need to do this.

Try selecting the "Charge Only" notification on the phone and select "files" or "photos". Instead of using the "Storage" icon you can try using an app called "Phone Manager" that should be installed already.

I see Telkom Mobile has the P8 Lite for R 100 pm anyone know if it is Dual Sim checked with Vodaworld - Huawei and no Dual Sim on VC
