Huawei P8 & P8 Lite - Reviews, tips & tricks

My problem is delayed Whatsapp messages. Sometimes it come in, other times 10 or 20 all at once after opening app.

I had this issue one day this week. Try updating to the newest version of whatsapp.

Has anyone gotten the Nu Metro app to work on Marshmallow? It's been months since the update, and I still can't install that app.

After the update it was definitely better and thus far all messages are coming in on time. Thanks.
 
Looking all over for 6.0 on Telkom for my p8. Most of the old links are dead, any advice?

I was on Telkom L02 B120 before updating to Marshmallow ( Balong problem as below), but want to return to Lollipop B120/compatible. Then install the OTA update from Telkom.

Anyone know where to get the downgrade package?

Edit: P8 Lite

Edit 2: looks like I'll have to sort out balong, before any downgrades can happen

Good day all.

I received a Huawei P8 lite from mtn on Friday January 23, 2017 and I see that they don't support the firmware for dual sim cards.

I've tried endlessly to change the firmware or software on the phone but it just fails everytime.

I contacted Huawei support today and they told me that mtn doesn't support dual sims and there's nothing i can do except take it back to them.

Before taking it back, i need to find out if I'm really out of options with regards to changing the firmware?

Game had P8 Lite for R2899 a few weeks back. Incredible Connection has a cellphone clearance sale on at the moment. Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 and Mi4 are on special.
 
Has anyone received a new ota update in the last week? My phone wants me to download version ale-lo2c190b574, but the change log is in Spanish. Google brings up no results for that build number.
 
I got the P8 lite last week and have noted that the "body sensors", in particular the pedometer, do not function at all when the screen is off.

I've made sure I have the latest software installed and disabled all possible power saving settings but nothing has changed.

This is pretty frustrating because I used to use SHealth to track my steps for Discovery Vitality points but I can no longer do so because SHealth can't track steps once the screen turns off.

I don't understand how this feature makes any sense. Is there any way to change this?
