¿Actualizaste?Has anyone received a new ota update in the last week? My phone wants me to download version ale-lo2c190b574, but the change log is in Spanish. Google brings up no results for that build number.

What do you mean by not being able to swipe notifications?I've upgraded to Marshmallow and phone feels a bit slower and not being able to swipe notifications sucks. Otherwise no issues
WhatsApp messages that come down from the top, used to be able to swipe them left and now they have to be swiped up, carefully. What do you mean by not being able to swipe notifications?
You can. Swipe and it's gone. What you might be referring to is persistant notifications. For some apps to work correctly, it needs a notification to remain in the notification panel.
Oh, those notifications. I agree.WhatsApp messages that come down from the top, used to be able to swipe them left and now they have to be swiped up, carefully.
Always better to go as high as your finances allow.Still worth getting a p8 lite(original or 2017?), when p9 lite is not that much more expensive? Or should I go for the p10 lite?
Not a power user, I just need more ram than my paltry 1gb and good battery life. Any advice would be great.
Thanks. P9 lite it is.Always better to go as high as your finances allow.
I'm staying with the Huawei P range, because of double tap for screen on, quick contacts add through the dialer (like a Nokia S40), draw a C etc for dialer on locked screen and various other little stock "things".
I don't want a third party dialer or other apps to do the above.
Edit: I don't fingerprint unlock (or at least I won't when I upgrade), so double tap is important.
I got the P8 lite last week and have noted that the "body sensors", in particular the pedometer, do not function at all when the screen is off.
I've made sure I have the latest software installed and disabled all possible power saving settings but nothing has changed.
This is pretty frustrating because I used to use SHealth to track my steps for Discovery Vitality points but I can no longer do so because SHealth can't track steps once the screen turns off.
I don't understand how this feature makes any sense. Is there any way to change this?
Under Settings/Advanced settings/Battery management/Protected apps - on the P8lite. If it's on Android 6, otherwise search for Protected apps.Make sure that those apps are not set to close when the phone is locked.
Settings > Battery > Close apps after screen lock.
Sort out Whastapp and whatever you use for email while you're there too. I was missing messages and couldn't figure out why they all came streaming in at once as soon as I opened the app...

This was the first thing I did when the problem presented itself but it did not help.Make sure that those apps are not set to close when the phone is locked.
Settings > Battery > Close apps after screen lock.

Is that the P8 Lite 2017?Hi. Do any of you guys here know if the latest MTN contract deal on the P8 lite for R155 would be any good (upgrading from K Zoom phone). My wife got this offer and I just wanted to check with the community here if it's a good idea. They are offering her this 24 month contract with R200 airtime monthly on MTN network. Thanks for any helpful info.![]()

MTN have been advertising the P8 Lite 2017 quite often lately. I don't think they have the older model anymore. She doesn't know and they also didn't say what version of the P8 Lite it was. Didn't even know there were two versions with the same name. Isn't this MTN trying to get rid of old stock?
